Lingerie brand Lively introduces swimwear

The brand’s founder Michelle Cordeiro Grant says swimsuits were always part of the brand’s agenda since launching in April of 2016. Lively chose to accelerate its swimwear launch when consumers left comments on the company’s Instagram page asking for swim versions of its popular bralettes. Lively’s swim collection features a water-friendly version of the popular bralette, as well as color-blocked one pieces, high-wasted floral-printed bikini bottoms, and bandeau tops. Prices range from $45 for separates to $65 for the one pieces, with sizes available from x-small to large.

The lingerie brand received a big boost last October in the form of $4 million in seed funding from the likes of GGV Capital, Gelmart International, and Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine. Grant marketed Lively as a “leisureé” brand, as a mix of comfort, function and femininity that can be worn all day. Before launching Lively, Grant was a director of Victoria’s Secret and VP of Merchandising for Jack Threads at Thrillist Media Group.
